I have done Diploma in IT, presently working in Delhi from last two years. Pursuing BCA from IGNOU and BTech from AMIETE. AMIETE is not that much easy so want to do B-Tech in IT or Comp Science from any institute(i.e. too distance learning). Can you please suggest some institute offering the same?..... (rahul)

With construction industry and real estate sector on an upswing, the jobs for Diploma Engineers is also on the upswing both in the private and public sector. In the public sector, a diploma qualification makes you eligible for applying for the post of Junior Engineer (JE) in CPWD, MES, CWC, PSU's such as BHEL, NTPC, NHPC, SAIL etc. to name a few. You could opt for M.Tech or ME in Electronics and these courses are offered by most of the NIT's , Engg. Colleges and IIT's. Keep on watching for the admission notifications as published in Employment News and through the respective web sites of these institutes. In case You are interested in doing a job while pursuing higher studies, there are many universities /institutions that are allowing Part Time Post graduate Degree courses. Regarding other courses, specialized courses in the Telecom domain could be quiet suitable to You.

I am an Electronics engineer pased out in 2004.I had been doing private job since sept 2005,but I was not earning too much.In sept. 2005,there was a vaccancy in BSNL for 3000 JTO POSTS. I started to prepare for these exams for my better career.The exam was in jan 2006 & it was a pretty tough one. But still though I fared well than oter students with whom i discussed later on.I am a general category student & my centre was in J&K.I WANT TO KNOW THE MINIMUM PASSING MARKS INTO EXAM FOR GENERAL CATEGORY?
Knowledge of the passing mark will not help in any way because the decision of the board is final. You have to move forward with the acceptance that you did not make it.
Comparing your performance with the opinion of others does not in any way confirm that you did well. Try for more such openings. If you have been doing your job well, you should be able to move to better paying private jobs too. In the 21st century job scenario, do not waste time on what is past, stop worrying about the future and live in the
present. That will help you to focus better on your goals.

I am post graduate (MSc.Biotechnology) and at present working in CDRI (CSIR) as a permanent employee and want to do M.Tech.from distance education so please tell me which universities provide this facility.
You have to keep track of the admission notifications of the various distance education providers to check out the probability of doing an M Tech in Biotechnology. It would be far more useful to try for a full time M Tech through GATE with a fellowship.

I completed BSC maths in distance education,im inter discontinue that's why I completed degree in distance education under madurai kamaraj university ,madurai. now I want to join in b-tech , is it possible to join b-tech, if any university give this chance mean distance graduates also join B-tech , plz send that university details ,and fees details.
It would be much better to consider a professional postgraduate programme like MBA, MCA or any other as per your abilities, rather than B. Tech. A postgraduate programme would be more appropriate at this stage.

You could check the Summer Research programmes offered by the IIT Bombay (www.iitb.ac.in) and IIT Madras (www.iitm.ac.in) to start with. Summer Research Fellowships are also offered at Jawaharlal Nehru Centre for Advanced Scientific Research (A Deemed University), Jakkur P O, Bangalore-560064 (in association with Department of Science & Technology and Rajiv Gandhi Foundation, New Delhi) (www.jncasr.ac.in) for 2nd and 3rd Year BE / B Tech students. Keep track of the notification in September-October. Examples are indicative.
