Hi,this is Swetha. I have done my B.Tech in electronics. Can you please suggest me a very good university for pursuing my MBA in distance mode. And also do suggest me top 5 universities which offer distance mode of education

There isn't any formal ranking of distance education MBA programmes for the simple reason that there wouldn't be any placement from such a programmes. You would normally try for MBA programmes offered by institutions approved by the Distance Education Council (www.dec.ac.in) and approved by AICTE (except in the case of Deemed Universities which are not required to apply for the same). 07/08/2009

I am done MBA in marketing and finace but i am not get good job till now . now i want to go for mca this is good for me or not.can u tell me about how i get admission in mca at menimum fees. and i have done 12th commerce and b.com

Currently the job market is depressed and slow so if you are choosy about the kind of job or salary you want, then you are likely to remain unemployed. Unless you have passed class 12th or graduation with Maths as a subject, and are quite efficient with handling it, MCA would not be a suitable choice. You can afford to be a bit patient and open minded about jobs right now, and also apply for the various banking and insurance jobs being advertised by the public sector organisations. If you feel MCA is a good choice , then review the course fees of the different institutions and choose accordingly. We don't review course fees at our end, but in the normal course university courses or those offered by government and government aided institutions are likely to cost less.

Dear Sir, Iam pusuing MBA (HR) from OU,let me know the courses related to HR after MBA, also the Job opprtunities for MBA HR.

The next level of learning would be MPhil/ PhD. Job opportunities after MBA HR could be across different industries and sectors, but if you do not have any relevant work experience to back up your Open University education, it could take time and effort to convince a prospective employer. However, you may like to start looking for related jobs in HR even now so that you have better prospects to look forward to after your MBA is over. Right now you should just look for jobs in HR department or recruitment agencies, etc.(20.03.2009)

The PR and HR are infact inter-related fields and indeed is a good combination. You can very well get a job in a PSU. As far as PhD is concerned, see if the correspondence course you are doing is recognised by AICTE/UGC. (25.02.2009)

I am a Mechanical Engineer working as a Design Engineer (CAD) and having an experience of around 4 Years. I want to go for further studies like MBA. Which MBA Should I prefer--Should it be a Full Time one or A one with weekend Batches? Also, which Specialisation is most suitable for me? Please reply

If you are working and wish to continue the same, then a part-time or weekend mode would be practical. However, such a mode of education does not offer any placement. If you want the MBA to lead directly to a managerial cadre placement, then a full time MBA would be advisable.(28.01.2009)

Iam p.g with history and want to focus on management so,is it possiblee and if yes then from where i should apply for the same.

Admission into MBA is open to graduates and post graduates of all disciplines. Hence, you may apply for the same. The admission notifications appear from July to March in all prominent dailies.. There would be a management entrance test based on the scores of which business schools would shortlist applicants. The entrance tests focus on skills in English (verbal ability, and comprehension), analytical and logical reasoning skills and quantitative aptitude. Practising and enhancing your skills in these areas based on the format of the relevant management entrance test paper would help you to score well.(28.01.2009)

I have done M.B.A tourism i would like to study foreign language chiness though corresponded. Is this correct choice of mine if not kindly guide me which language is most wanted in tourist sector and which university is offering corresponded course.

If you have an objective in mind the Chinese language can prove beneficial to you. Usually the foreign language departments of different universities offer part time language courses but you have to attend classes (probably evening) to be proficient in the language. Also there are many private institutes in India and abroad that offer the course. (19.01.2009)
