I have recently completed my Graduation in History Hons from Delhi University and keen in opting a career in Event management or Corporate Trainer or Masters in International Business but I am confused to opt a option which would equip me in bulk practical experiences and modules taught so that I can sell my self in the market and finally the best institutes available now for pursuing these courses which have good placements as CAT or other competitive examinations are ruled out for me Kindly Advice.

Go for event management then. You may also consider Sales and Marketing Diploma programmes. Check notifications for admission in the prominent dailies and verify placement profile from the respective institutes/ websites and assess their credibility. However, in these areas, it would be most important to be sure that you have the right skills and personality for event management, sales and marketing careers.

I finished my M.Sc applied Electronics in Bharathiyar university and now i want to do M.B.A which is best university to do that. and that is best for my future? and which course i want to choose please give the answer sir.

Among the prominent institutions for MBA are the Indian Institutes of Management (Ahmedabad, Bangalore, Kolkata, Lucknow, Indore and Kozhikode), FMS Delhi, XLRI Jamshedpur, JBIMS Mumbai and so on. However, there are also management institutions which have strong regional presence, so you can also consider such institutions in your part of the country. You should apply to a wide range of management institutions as admission is highly competitive. The idea of doing so is to actually join a reasonably good, if not the best MBA programme.

What is the scope for foreign trade degree holders in western countries?

FOREIGN TRADE
A foreign trade degree does not necessarily mean that there would be job prospects in western countries. After an MBA (International Business) or equivalent programme there would be scope for foreign assignments.

I want to know about the career after graduation especially about MBA or PGDM

In view of growing competition in the field of MBA, you are needed to prepare yourself in advance. In order to get admission in an MBA institution, you will have a clear a three -step entrance test comprising written, Viva Voce and Group Discussion. The written test is usually based on general knowledge, reasoning, English Language and numerical skills While Viva Voce tests your personality and group discussion analyses your presentation skills. For all these you need to prepare yourself from the days of graduation. There are management aptitude tests like MAT, CAT, XAT, or any other test of the concerned institute. Related institutes publish information on these tests. Opting an institute depends on your orientation and calibre.

Some of the placement cells also organise practice session and career counselling programmes for the students. The summer training is of 6-8 weeks duration. Usually freshers are inducted as management trainees for one to two years before getting absorbed in the regular scales. With the ever-increasing developmental activity, the number of industrial ventures is also increasing. For effective control of these ventures and co-ordination of the activities of the organisation, trained and experienced professional managerial executives at lower, middle, senior and top levels are required.

I m a MBA (marketing) with 2 years of experience in financial writing. My management background & a few short term financial courses have helped me. Understand the basic concepts in finance, giving me an edge in financial writing. I wish to further my experience in financial writing by doing a postgraduate course in business journalism. I'm presently located at Mumbai. Could u suggest some good institutes that offer this course in Mumbai?

The Xavier Institute of Mass Communication at St. Xavier College Mumbai and Sybiosis, Pune would be better for sharpening your writing and communication skills since you already have specialisation in financial stream. All you need is to utilise your knowledge in the field of journalism which has different kind of writing. Meanwhile you continue reading financial newspapers and periodicals (I consider that you would already be doing that).
