If you are not very academically inclined, it may be better for you to consider jobs open for graduates through the competitive selection process of the Railway Recruitment Board, Staff Selection Commission. UPSC, and try for entry into the Indian Coast Guard, Defence Services, etc. The minimum percentage for being eligible for MCA programmes may vary between 50% and 60%. There would be a competitive entrance test.

I had given railway recruitment board exams in the past 2 years & still I am not getting successful in any of these exams.last year , I GAVE 2 exams for the post of J.E -2 SIGNAL & TELECOM from jammu centre. I want to know the appropriate passing marks for the exam (for junior engineer posts) & also some important tips for succeeding in the exam.

The discretion of fixing the cut-off is with the recruitment board relative to the number of vacancies and level of performance. If you are not able to succeed, you should assess the areas in which your answering may not have been up to mark and put more focused effort. Perhaps your knowledge base is not strong enough, or you are not managing your time well in the exam. You can take practical tips from those who have succeeded earlier. It would be advisable to try also for other jobs in both the private and public sector which are in line with your qualifications.
