Union Minister Dr. Mahesh Sharma releases  'Untold Story of Broadcasting During the Quit India Movement' on August Kranti Day

To mark the 76th anniversary of Quit India Movement, Union Minister of State for Culture (I/C), Dr. Mahesh Sharma, released  a book  'Untold Story of Broadcasting During the Quit India Movement' in New Delhi on 9th August, 2018.  The book written by eminent historian Dr. Gautam Chatterjee, has been jointly published under the Partnership Agreement  with Publications Division and Indira Gandhi National Centre for Arts (IGNCA).  The Minister also released two more books - 'Jewellery' by Dr. Gulab Kothari and 'Ghats of Banaras' by Dr. Sachidanand Joshi at the function. Speaking on the occasion, the Minister appreciated the efforts to promote, art, culture and heritage through such books.  The Book titled ‘Untold Story of Broad-casting during the Quit India Movement’ written by Dr. Gautam Chatterjee is about behind-the-scenes develop-ments during the Quit India Movement. It gives an authentic account of the secret broadcast which took place during the movement led by Dr. Ram Manohar Lohia.
