I am an staunch readear of Employment News. Please let me know career in Cobra/Snake taming. What are the uses of its skin, bones and venom? What is the acreage required for this purpose? Please also let me know if there is any such farm or training centre in India.
Tough the snake charming and their upbringing remained the traditional occupation in India, there is no authorise course on it as catching a snake and holding it in captitivity and also extracting its venom is illegal. However, certain tribes that are doing this business down the tradition are allowed to do it. As far as your question is concerned you can join a research laboratory like IICT, Secunderabad AP, where snake farming is done and training on catching the reptiles and extracting the venom is being imparted. You may be able to specialize in agricultural economics as part of a post graduate degree in economics. Or, you can complete a post graduate degree in economics and follow it up with a PhD in Agricultural Economics. If you are passed class 12th with science (physics, chemistry, mathematics/ biology) you may be eligible for the BSc Forestry course. Log on to www.icar.org.in and through the links of the State Agricultural Universities there, you can assess eligibility for the course.Since you do not mention your subjects in class 12th it would not be possible to give a specific answer about your eligibility. As a forestry graduate you could work in conservation, the government, for private industry, consulting firms etc. A post graduate degree would enable you to try for research, and teaching positions and also for the Agricultural Research Service, etc. You could do a science degree or an engineering degree without forestry and be able to join the Indian Forest Service through the Indian Forest Service Examination by the Union Public Service Commsision.

Shiplee, you must set your target first. You wasted your time on software engg and office automation course and now you are teaching. You should have participated in CSIR-UGC NET exam or have enrolled yourself for PhD. Anyway please explore the possibility of research. Meanwhile you can seek Teachers Training for a TGT Job. The National Institute of Design, Ahmedabad offers Graduate Diploma courses to students completing class 12th in any discipline and post graduate diploma courses to graduates of various disciplines including design, fine art, engineering, architecture, computers, mass media etc. The admission notification usually appears in October, and the entrance examination is held in January the next year. You can appear for the entrance test the same year that you appear for the Board exams (class 12th) or the year you are to graduate. You can apply later also.
