Publications Division Books on Rashtrapati Bhavan Series Released

The Directorate of the Publications Division, Ministry of Information and Broadcasting, Govt. of India, has published the first volume of President Smt. Droupadi Murmu’s selected speeches delivered during the first year of her tenure. The books titled 'Wings to Our Hopes, Volume I' in English, ‘Aashaon Ki Udaan’ in Hindi, ‘Rashtrapati Bhavan: Heritage Meets the Present’ and 'Kahani Rashtrapati Bhavan Ki' were officially released by Union Minister for Agriculture and Farmers’ Welfare Shri Shivraj Singh Chouhan along with Union Minister of State for Information and Broadcasting (I&B) Dr. L. Murugan and Secretary, I&B, Shri Sanjay Jaju on July 18, 2024. The event held at the Cultural Centre of Rashtrapati Bhavan was graced by officials of the Ministry of Information and Broadcasting, Ministry of Agriculture and Farmers’ Welfare and members of the Publications Division.

The book 'Wings to Our Hopes, Volume I,' compiles 75 significant speeches from the first year of President Droupadi Murmu's tenure. The book will serve an invaluable resource for understanding the guiding principles and aspirations of our country. The Hindi edition of the book is titled 'Aashaon Ki Udaan.'

The book ‘Rashtrapati Bhavan: Heritage Meets the Present’ offers a comprehensive exploration of the Rashtrapati Bhavan premises, delving into its history, legacy, and architectural magnificence and details about all former Presidents of India through captivating photographs. Readers are taken on an intimate journey through the grandeur of Rashtrapati Bhavan, from its inception to its current role as the official residence of the President of India. Paying tribute to one of India's most iconic landmarks, the book celebrates the Rashtrapati Bhavan as a symbol of the nation's rich architectural heritage and vibrant contemporary identity.

The book 'Kahani Rashtrapati Bhavan Ki' is designed for children, offering engaging information about the office of the President and the Rashtrapati Bhavan. It is divided into three chapters: 'Our President', 'Main Attractions of Rashtrapati Bhavan', and 'Rashtrapati Bhavan Museum Complex'. This book recounts nearly a hundred years of Rashtrapati Bhavan's history in simple language, presented in an appealing style and filled with numerous pictures of the iconic landmark.
