Ministry of Electronics & Information Technology Observes  Swachhta Pakhwada

Swachhta Pakhwada was observed in the Ministry of Electronics & Information Technology (MeitY) from 1st to 15th February, 2018 with great enthusiasm and active participation of the officers and staff members of MeitY and its offices. Day-wise Action plan was prepared for implementation which consisted of both motivational and physical activities.  To spread the message of cleanliness and hygiene and to increase the participation of every individual of Ministry in Swachhta Pakhwada, Swachh Bharat Messages/ slogans were widely publicized / displayed. The general cleaning activities were scaled up around the entire office premises. In various offices of the ministry,  old lights were replaced with energy efficient LED lights as a part of Swachhta Pakhwada.  Software Technology Park of India (STPI) at its offices across the country organised workshops on E-wastage during the Pakhwada. Swachhta Awareness Workshops were also organised in schools and academic institutions by the Ministry and its offices. A Cycle rally was conducted in Bhoraj village in Adilabad district of Telangana by  the officials where students participated in the rally to create awareness on  use of toilets and cleanliness.
