am a post graduate in Physics and at present am a final year M.Tech Nanotechnology student from anna university coimbatore. i wish to know the job oppurtunities for nanotechnology other than biotechnology in india
You should be able to judge the scope for employment from the type of courses, project, assignments and internships you have undertaken for the MTech. Choices may include energy, robotics, space exploration, opto electronics, electronics, national security and so much more. However, it may not be easy to get offers just when you want them. You have to be proactive in the job search and be open to doing a PhD.

sir i am supriya dubey i have done m.sc in zoology and coplete b.ed but i could not find job my m.sc is not good percentage i want to join msc againly but another sub plz guidde me
If your BSc score was better, you could look for secondary school teaching positions based on that. You could upgrade your MSc qualification by completing MSc in an interdisciplinary programme linked to the biological sciences like biotechnology or life science or environment science which are offered as subjects at the higher secondary level. However, it is possible that academic pursuits are not really in line with your abilities. Hence, you may have to consider alternative options also.(25.02.2009)

I'm doing my masters in Environmental Science from Tezpur University, a central university in Assam. I wish to work in the conservtion sector. Would you please guide me?
You have to identify suitable job opportunities either through campus placement or by tracking employment opportunities through various newspapers, environment related portals, journals and so on. Doing MTech Environment would be very useful or you could do PhD as that would enhance scope for teaching and research opportunities also. You could consider applying for the Indian Forest Service examination or for recruitment to the state forest services. Indicative examples.(20.11.2009)

i am student pursuing my study in M.Sc forensic science.please tell me about the vacancies and reserch scholarships regarding my subject. and also if there are any prospects of going abroad for reserch or job .
This is not a job search facility, but is meant to offer career guidance and counseling. Vacancies for forensic scientists and openings for research scholarships would either appear in the prominent dailies, professional journals, websites of likely organizations and in Employment News (for government jobs). Placement prospects in forensic science (post graduation or PhD) are in the Central Forensic Science Laboratories at Hyderabad, Kolkata, Chandigarh and Delhi through competitive selection procedure. Jobs are available in the criminal investigation and law enforcement departments of the state and central governments. State government jobs would require proficiency in reading and writing in the regional language. Teaching and research are other opportunities for employment. Forensic scientists may work in the areas of insurance claims, document registrations, forgery detections and other white-collar crimes including cyber crime. You can consider prospects for higher studies abroad in the form of MS-PhD or Phd programmes. Jobs abroad without relevant work experience would be difficult. Find details of Junior Research Fellowship by the Directorate of Forensic Science, Govt of India on http://dfs.gov.in.(20.11.2009)
